London Legal Walk

Members of Merton and Lambeth CABx will be taking part in the 6^th annual London Legal Sponsored Walk.

This event, organised by the London Legal Support Trust, has become one of the biggest events of the legal calendar. Giving legal firms, chambers, and advice organisations an opportunity to raise much needed funds to provide free legal advice across London.

This year walkers will be led by leading figures of the legal profession;

The Rt. Hon Lord Neuberger (The Master of the Rolls),
Robert Heslett (President of the Law Society),

Walk the Thames

Staff and volunteers from Merton and Lambeth bureau are taking part in the second annual Walk the Thames events, organised by the London Legal Support Trust.

This is a 40-mile walk from the Thames Barrier to Richmond Bridge, over the weekend of 20^th and 21^st February 2010.

Sponsored Skydive

In celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Citizens Advice Bureaux, two volunteers, John Cann and Peter Ngere, are going to throw themselves out of an aeroplane, 14,000 ft above Salisbury on the 4th September 2009. This jump has been organised by Citizens Advice, and will mark the launch of a year of celebrations.

All of the donations, minus the cost of the jump (£263), will go to Merton & Lambeth Citizens Advice Bureaux who have been serving the communities of Merton and Lambeth for 70 years.
